Privacy Policy

How Decorators United collects and uses information on decoratorsunited.com, through our quote forms and orders, and in the hat mockup generator.

01What we collect

• Quote requests. When you use a quote form on our website or send a design from the generator, we receive your name, email, phone, company, quantity and project details, the page you sent it from, and any files you attach, such as logos, reference photos, mockups and spec sheets.
• Orders and contract sewing. Billing and shipping details, your order history and approvals, and, for blind shipping, the name and address you ask us to ship to.
• Messages. Anything you send us by email, phone or text.
• Mockup generator. Your designs, uploads, saved designs, business details and client list are stored in your browser on your device. We don’t receive them unless you send a design for a quote or sign in.
• Generator accounts (optional). If you sign in, we keep your email address and a session for each device, and store copies of your saved designs (including artwork), business details, client list, brand kit and plan so they appear on your other devices. Sign-in codes are emailed to you and stored only in scrambled (hashed) form for 10 minutes. Photos you add for lifestyle scenes stay on the device where you added them.
• Payments. When paid plans or online payments are used, our payment provider processes your card. We receive confirmation and your email, never your full card number.
• Website analytics. Our website host records basic visit information, such as pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location, which we see as totals. It may set a small cookie to count unique visits. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

02How we use it

• to reply to you, prepare quotes and proofs, and produce, ship and support your order;
• to run the mockup generator and keep your synced work available;
• to keep records for accounting and the law; and
• to understand how the website is used and improve it.

We won’t show your artwork or products publicly, for example in our portfolio, without your permission. Contract sewing and blind-ship customers’ work is never shown.

03Who we share it with

We share information only with providers that help us run the business, under obligations to protect it:

• website hosting (Framer for decoratorsunited.com, Netlify for the mockup generator);
• our form and account server (Cloudflare) and email delivery (Resend; a backup form-to-email service is used if our server is unavailable);
• blank and patch suppliers, shipping carriers and payment providers, with only what they need to fill your order.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business. We don’t sell or rent personal information.

04How long we keep it

Quotes, orders and correspondence are kept as long as needed for your orders, accounting and legal obligations, typically up to 7 years. Quote requests that don’t become orders are kept up to 2 years. Artwork files are kept with your order so we can reorder for you; ask and we’ll delete them. Synced generator data is kept while you use your account and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.

05Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing michael@decoratorsunited.com. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, such as data portability or complaining to a regulator. We’ll respond within the time the law requires and won’t treat you differently for asking. In the generator, clearing your browser’s site data deletes work stored on your device, and signing out stops syncing.

06Security, children & location

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections and limited access, but no system is perfectly secure. Our services are for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 16. Information is processed in the United States and where our providers operate.

07Changes

We’ll post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on this page.
